This auction is for the 18/19/20" tall doll that have measurements similar to a 9-1/2" chest. This pattern makes three costumes for your Toni Doll: Ballerina, Clown and Cowgirl. The Ballerina Costume has a multi-layered skirt. The top layer is adorned with pearl and crystal beads. The bottom layers are tulle. The skirt is attached to a halter style bodice that opens in the back. The Clown Costume is gathered and finished with binding around the neck. Then a gathered collar goes on top of that. The clown hat tops off the costume and features a rolled bottom edge and a pompom on top. The Cowgirl Costume is comprised of a blouse, skirt, bolero (vest), hat and boots. The skirt, bolero and boots are all trimmed with fringe that you make out of felt. I include a color printout of the front cover, a black and white copy of the instructions, back cover and the complete pattern. Please email me with any questions that you have.

The Toni Doll was made from 1949-1953 by the Ideal Toy Company. She was followed from 1954-1956 by the Toni Walker Doll. Toni was a hugely popular doll. Due to her popularity, several of the leading pattern manufacturing companies made doll clothing patterns to fit her. So, mothers and their daughters could make additional outfits for these darling dolls. The Toni doll was made in four sizes: 14", 16", 19" and 21" and I have a large assortment of patterns available in each of these sizes.
This pattern was originally created Dec 2, 1953. The copyright for this pattern has expired and it entered the public domain Jan 1, 1982.
