Description
Hello and thank you for viewing my listing. Today you are purchasing a beautiful part slice specimen of NWA 8343 Achondrite Howardite Meteorite from Northwest Africa. Microprobe examination of a polished mount shows fragmental to cataclastic breccia with equilibrated (exsolution lamellae) and unequilibrated (igneous zoned) pyroxenes throughout. Silica, ilmenite, chromite and iron-nickel metal present. Approximately 30% of this meteorite is Diogenitic, 60% is basaltic Eucrite and 10% is cumulate Eucrite. Excellent reference of this meteorite. My catalog number is G511-0156 and weighs in at 0.45 grams and comes with my card of authenticity for provenance. Remember, provenance is a must when collecting meteorites. I have designed a COA for NWA 8343, as I do with all of my classifications. Howardites are the most rare of the HED family and are quite often mistaken for Lunar meteorites. The specimen you see pictured is the exact specimen you will receive. Each card comes with catalog number, weight and my signature of authenticity. Thanks again for viewing. Cheers! Thanks again for viewing and our shipping is like this, the first is usually only .29 and .50 cents for each additional item, unless over 60 grams, then 1.00 per item. Everyone is given the opportunity to shop for two full weeks without ever exceeding 10.00 shipping, no matter how many you win or buy over the two week period, even earth stones! Cheers and thanks again for stopping by.
