Description
Hello up for auction is one of my newest classifications NWA 13904 approved as L4, S3,W2. This beautiful slice weighs 14.622 gram, has a nice polish to one side displaying lots of metal, dense tightly packed chondrules!!! This meteorite was originally purchased as a type 3, its absolutely loaded with tightly packed dense chondrules set in a dark brown matrix and very high amounts of metal, it was found in Mauritania 2018. Microprobe examination of a polished mount shows porphyritic and barred chondrules, many with mesostasis or glass. Physical characteristics
: Single stone, no fusion crust. Saw-cut surface reveals numerous, tightly packed, distinct chondrules set in a dark brown matrix.
Petrography
: (C. Agee, UNM) Microprobe examination of a polished mount shows porphyritic and barred chondrules, many with mesostasis or glass. Most secondary plagioclase grains are less than 2 μm in size.
