We recondition, calibrate, and sell Hewlett-Packard Power Meters and sensors (E4419B, E4418B, 437B and 438A models) as well as other test and measurement equipment. If you need further information please message me. Also, my contact information may be found at EBAY's "about me" page.
This refurbished Hewlett-Packard 437B Power Meter is in excellent condition electronically and physically. It meets or exceeds factory specifications. The 437B has been refurbished and
calibrated using the procedure as prescribed in the HP/Agilent service manual. The equipment used for calibration is the 11683A Range Calibrator and other instrumentation as specified in the 437B's calibration procedure. All instrumentation used to calibrate the 437B and 8484A is currently within calibration and is NIST traceable.
The 8484A sensor is an older, first generation sensor to be used with the 435A, 436A, 437B and 438A Power Meters. The sensor is specified to accurately measure levels down to -70 dBm. In general, many of these older sensors loose the ability to accurately measure down to that specified level. A more realistic measurement is to about -60 to -65 dBm. The level used for calibration is -30 dBm. Sweeping the sensor at the lower levels is not normally done. The newer replacement sensor for the 8484A is the 8481D. This sensor will accurately measure down to the -70 dBm level if required. We stock the 8381D's and are available in another listing.
The photos in this listing may not be the instrument you will be receiving. We have many power meters and sensors in our inventory and the unit you receive will be as good or better than the one shown the photos. The 11683A Range Calibrator is for demonstration purposes only and is not part of this sale.
Included in this listing is a NEW injection molded case for the sensor and cable.
All equipment comes refurbished and calibrated with a 100% satisfaction guarantee and a 30 day return policy. The "Certificate of Calibration," "Performance Test Record," and "Adjustments and Calibration" documents will be included with the power meter system. The 437B's and 8484A's "Certificate of Calibration"
will be issued prior to shipping and a current calibration sticker will be attached at that time.

Description/Features:
The Hewlett-Packard 437B power meter is a low-cost, high-performance, single-channel, programmable, average power meter compatible with the 848x family of power sensors. Depending on which power sensor is used, the 437B can measure from -70 dBm (100pW) to +44 dBm (25W) at frequencies from 100 kHz to 110 GHz.
Designed for the ATE systems and demanding bench top measurements, the 437B power meter makes fast, accurate, and reliable average power measurements. Only three inches high and half rack wide, the 437B minimizes the use of critical rack space in ATE systems. The advanced plastics technology used in the 437B cabinet combines the light weight of plastic with the shielding effectiveness of metal, making the 437B the only power meter to meet MIL-STD-461C EMI specifications.
Power reference for automatic calibration and zeroing
Duty cycle entry for a convenient peak power representation of the measurement average power
Ten pre-loaded sensor card factors versus frequency
