Edo Period Japanese Lacquer Hasami-Bako Maki-e Box Antique

Description

All original Edo period , Japanese lacquer maki-e Hasami-Bako box with copper mounts and two bone hasp locks.
The box is black lacquer with fine hira maki-e paintings of plum blossoms, branches, and pine trees.  It has two tegata handles one on each side. There is a bone hasp lock on the front and the back  of the box. There is a couple of wear marks and small dents, as you would expect. The bottom lacquer panel is split, and the paper lining is all but gone. All the copper hardware is original and in excellent condition.
