This item in my EBAY store is a DUGAN  "BUTTERFLY & TULIP"  MARIGOLD CARNIVAL GLASS LARGE SQUARE DEEP FTD.  "FRUIT BOWL".   This DUGAN "BUTTERFLY & TULIP" bowl is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass;   This DUGAN unusual shaped marigold carnival glass  "BUTTERFLY & TULIP"  large ftd. "fruit bowl" is in excellent condition just like it left the "DUGAN GLASS COMPANY" many years ago having NO chips, cracks, scratches, and no glass staining;   The finish on the inside of this  "BUTTERFLY & TULIP"  bowl that I have here has the satin finish;   I may also add that this  "BUTTERFLY & TULIP"  large deep ftd. fruit bowl that I have here does have the early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass making process having straw marks, stress marks, and air bubbles sometimes seen inside the glass of early carnival glass that is seen inside the glass of this DUGAN "BUTTERFLY & TULIP" bowl, these characteristics were done during the production of this beauttiful bowl and is NOT considered damage, all of this info I just mentioned to you is shown in my photos taken but any questions at all please e-mail me;   These DUGAN  "BUTTERFLY & TULIP"  bowls are not easily found, you usually have to wait your turn to own one of these prized pattern bowls;
I photographed each of the four sides of the underside of this bowl showing each "INVERTED FAN & FEATHER";   I have a photo of a very tiny glass split as I call it, usually the big pieces of early carnival glass has these splits and the people who buy large pieces of carnival glass know what I am talking about, this is no harm to this bowl because this split was done during the production of this American beauty;   I may also add that this
DUGAN  "BUTTERFLY & TULIP"  MARIGOLD CARNIVAL GLASS LARGE  SQUARE DEEP FTD.  "FRUIT BOWL" is an early DUGAN vintage antique carnival glass fruit bowl that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition, surely the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty surely cherrished this peice of DUGAN antique glass according to the condition this DUGAN "BUTTERFLY & TULIP bowl remains in today;
A lot of glass here for your money, this bowl is large and deep, and the glass itself is very thick glass, and if I must say so, DUGAN did an excellent job iridizing this beautiful bowl, it did not matter what angle or position I photographed this American beauty the COLOR and carnival glass iridescence was there and that is what carnival glass is all about.............COLOR and iridescence;   The "BUTTERFLY" and the TULIP LEAVES are stippled adding that beautiful shine to this large bowl, and the secondary pattern is the ever famous "INVERTED FAN & FEATHER" on the underside of this large deep ftd. bowl;   This DUGAN  "BUTTERFLY & TULIP"  bowl is just the way it left the DUGAN GLASS COMPANY many years ago;   This DUGAN marigold carnival glass  "BUTTERFLY & TULIP"  large ftd.
