Antique Japanese Mt Fuji ? Damascene and Gilt Compact Cigarette Case

This antique Japanese cigarette case features a beautifully detailed depiction of Mount Fuji in damascene and gilt. The case is made of metal and is multi-colored, with a mix of gold, silver, and black tones. Not sure if it’s real gold and silver
It is an original piece from the 1900-1940s
The item's region of origin is Japan, which adds to its cultural and historical significance. This compact case was designed to hold cigarettes, but it can also be used to store other small items. Its ornate design and unique style make it an excellent addition to any antique collection.
One side has a cloth and snap closure against the black background. Other side has an aged and stained mirror, and two little inside boxes that are detailed with a Flower and goose design.
Missing the original chain. Closes and snaps shut tight. Back has a scuff marks, and light scratches.
This has not been cleaned, has natural patina to the silver and gold. Back has two ships with the moon seen. And a little symbol in the corner.
