An amazing dagger fashioned from a meteorite

We acquired this piece from a S Florida Auction recently. It was described as a hand made knife or dagger, fashioned from a meteorite.
We carefully looked and it is definately made from one solid piece and the blade has been hand hammered.  The blade is 4" and the overall length is 7 1/2". It will attract a magnet. We are not certain of the age of the piece. Please let us know should you require additional images.  As a side note, when King Tutankhamun's tomb was opened, he had to knives that were alongside of him. On the left was a knife made of gold and on his right was a dagger made from a meteorite. The knife made from the meteorite was far more valuble as they had not discovered iron yet, and the only iron pieces they may have fashioned, came from fallen and found meteorites.
