Description
This is for a Pair of Gorgeous Art glass Vases in matching shape and color theme. These were made by Dugan Art Glass co. This line was made from 1905-1906 and bing such a small production period makes pieces limited today. Pieces of this type of glass are highly prized by North American Glass collectors who truly appreciate the Victorian period art glass.
This was called Dugan's "Pompeian Line", they were trying to make glass to rival Tiffany and Czech makers as well. Many people today confuse this pattern glass for being Czech glass today. This is also called "Venetian", "Oriental" and "Frit" Glass. "Frit Glass" is a special type of glass in its own right. Dugan actually molded this piece from a Mold (which is why you can find faint mold lines under the speckles if you look hard and feel for them), then they took it to the marver table and rolled the glass in "Frit" (little pieces of colored glass) which was layed out in a pattern to be rolled onto the exterior of the piece. Then the piece is reheated and it has somewhat of an iridescent appearance when it is done along with the spectacular speckled pattern.
That being said, This pattern & color is exquisite example of this line of Frit Art Glass. This color is specifically called "Cobalt Starburst". "Cobalt" Blue is the color of the vase, this is a rare color to see Dugan work with during this period and any shape piece in this color and pattern is extremely hard to find compared to other colors/patterns. The "Starburst" part comes in because of the sparkling gold and white Pattern that is applied over the Cobalt blue glass. This pattern is also special for this Pompeian line. This is one rare piece and tends to hold value over other colors in this shape vase. This shape is called the Gourd Vase, you can find the gourd vase in a few different colors/patterns but the "Cobalt Starburst" is of the rarer of the colors/patterns.

*Please note* Pressed, molded or blown Glass has imperfections from the manufacturing process. These imperfections are inherited by production and not considered damage. However Any large imperfections that look real bad will be noted as major defects of course, but minor imperfections that often occur such as: color variations, creases/lines from molds, tiny air bubbles or small debris encased in glass is natural as not going to be scrutinized or considered damage. Please understand this is not damage and we do not give partial refunds or returns because of this.
*No Returns/Refunds Policy*
...Please Note that we do not accept returns or refunds for buyer's remorse. This is for 2 reasons- I provide photos of the exact items and not stock pictures so you can always see the exact item you will get. Also all of our auctions are "Free Shipping" to our buyers, but I still have to buy postage and it is expensive! I cant give full refunds on items when I cant get refunds on my shipping cost. Please see the many pictures above, read our descriptions, and ask all questions before bidding... Thank you
*Damaged in shipment*... All of my items are insured against damage in transit, I pay extra for this! Do not ship items back for damage because this voids an insurance claim. Partial losses are paid as such by USPS/FEDEX, we don't refund 10 glasses because 1 broke and neither do they. All insurance claims are filed online now & there may be a delay in how long it takes the Shipper to process the refund, also USPS claims may require items to be physically taken the post office for inspection should they ask for them- We must have photos of the damaged item and the damage to the exterior of the box to process claims online, so you will need to be able to send us digital photos.
*Items lost in shipment or not received*... If they are lost in transit, we will be required to wait the specified time by the shipper to file the insurance claim- there is no other way to do this as that is their rules and we will have to wait their time limits.
