1940's Ideal PLASSIE & BABY BEAUTIFUL & Early TONI doll WRIST Hang TAG #2
This listing is for a REPRODUCTION of the original wrist hang tag for the Ideal doll Company's 1940's PLASSIE dolls.    Several different sizes of these dolls were produced from 1942 to 1946.    Several different styles of these dolls were made.    Some were all composition with a hard plastic head, while others made toward the end of the 1940's had the new "Magic Skin" arms and legs.    Judith Izen's book , Collector's Guide to Ideal dolls, Second Edition shows some of these dolls on page 71 .    The Ideal Doll Company placed 2 tags on some of these dolls.   One tag has the name of the doll on it.  This tag only had the Ideal Company logo and address on it.   This tag was used ( in different colors) for dolls during the 1930's thru the 1960's.   If you have  any of the 1940's Ideal dolls( Baby Beautiful, early Toni and other walking dolls, Plassie, Magic Skin and Baby Coos dolls),  this is a good replacement for the tag.    This very small tag is historically correct ( the same size, shape, printing style, etc. as my original tag).   This tag is printed on professional acid free card stock.   NOTE:    The EBAY enlarging feature blurs some of my photo.
