    Massachusetts allows for vehicles 25 years or older to register with year of manufacture license plates (plates previously used in Massachusetts) instead of antique plates. If no plate was issued in a particular year, a plate from the previous year can be used. Only one plate is required and it must be approved by the Massachusetts RMV.
