1903 MASS. AUTOMOBILE REGISTER license Plate # 911 MAR

Description

Beautiful 1903 Mass Auto register from the 1st year of state issued license plates. This one was registered to Hollis G. Rand of 23 Central Avenue, Braintree, MA on a 7 horsepower Stanley Steamer. This plate does show damage from the heat of the steam engine but still retaines its beautiful gloss and look.  A truly special plate for your collection. This plate has been part of my collection since 1991 when I purchased this plate from another collector. A truly increadible early license plate. The earliest state issued license plate in the USA. This one was part of the 911th set made.
